Nestled on the slopes of the Helderberg Mountain lies this contemporary building. The charchoal window frames disappear into the similarly coloured facade, while contrasting with the rustic stone base that connects it to its mountain evironment.

The Sanctuary Shopping Center
Also in Somerset West, this building completed in 2016 is a exemplifies trends in architecture toward deeply shaded windows and combining two floors visually. A masterpiece by SVA architects.

Living planet architects really took the mandate to design an ultra petrol station beyond its call and created a modern building that travellers will remember in its own right. You have to experience this building to fully appreciate it. Located just off the N1 outside Worcester, be sure to make a stop off on any long distance trip from Cape Town.
